For Building Envelope Design, we:

  1. Follow the directions of the architect or third party consultant working on the project.
  2. Create an estimate.
  3. Consult with the 3rd party expert; we often help to coordinate client contact with the expert or architect.
  4. Coordinate the project with the 3rd party expert.
  5. Consult with the 3rd party expert about which type of system to use.
  6. Perform the job itself. We:
    • Remove the siding and prime all of the wood trims with Alkyd Primer
    • Install a window flashing such as Fortiflash, Winflex, or Moistop Next
    • Inspect damaged areas and replace any materials that have been damaged
    • Wrap the entire building with one of the systems determined by the architect. Commonly used sealants are OSI Quad, Sikaflex, Volkum, Temco and Moistop Sealant
    • Inspect the building before new siding goes on to make sure that everything was done properly
    • Install new siding
